Dr. Anand R. Prasad is partner of Deloitte Tohmatsu Cyber in Japan. He has over 25 years of combined work experience in security for wireless and wired communication networks. Anand leads the Multinational Cybersecurity Services (MCS) team including connectivity security services covering inbound & outbound clients and any client requiring multi-cultural as well as multi-cultural cybersecurity support. He is also the Deloitte Asia Pacific leader for TMT Cyber and 5G Security.​ He served as interim CISO of Japan’s leading financial services firm. Prior to DTCY Anand was Founder and CEO of a global cybersecurity services provider, consulting for top-tier clients across the telecommunications industry. He was also a Senior Security Advisor of a leading communication service provider in Japan, providing advice on all aspects of cybersecurity for the company and interim Japan Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Japan’s largest financial firm. Anand was Independent Board of Director of worlds first 5G wholesale network where he also established and chaired the Board Cybersecurity Committee. He was also CISO and Board Member, of a major Japanese telecommunications provider, the world's leading MNO with the very first cloud-native 4G & 5G network implementation. As CISO, Anand led all aspects of enterprise and mobile network security from design, deployment to operations. Anand has delivered security solutions for 5G, 4G, network function virtualization, SOC, WiFi, mobile devices, enterprise and GRC processes from scratch for secure connectivity. Anand has globally propagated the concept of security as the business driver with security being holistic as well as inherent to a system while considering business and architectural implications. Anand holds over 50 patents, is a recognized keynote speaker (RSA, GWS, MWC, ICT etc.) and is a prolific writer with 8 books and over 50 peer reviewed publications.
