
Director General, Israel National Cyber Directorate, Israel
Yossi Karadi is the Director General of the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD).
DG Karadi was appointed by the prime minister in May 2025.
Mr. Karadi (49), a Brigadier General in the IDF reserves, served for 30 years in the Israel Defense Forces, during which he led strategic, organizational, and
technological innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives.
He holds academic degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management, Technology, Security, and International Relations. Karadi succeeds Gaby Portnoy, who recently completed a three-year term as head of the directorate.
Throughout his career, Mr. Karadi held various command and innovation roles in the IDF's C4I Corps, including: Commander of the Electronic Warfare Center, C4I
Commander of the Southern Command, and Head of Operations in the Cyber and C4I Directorate. In his final role as a Brigadier General, he served as the Chief C4I and Cyber Defense Officer.
Mr. Karadi holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Information Systems, and two M.A. degrees in International
Relations and National Security from the University of Haifa. He also completed advanced training in technology at MIT and with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Karadi is married and a father of three.
