Christopher Peters

Christopher Peters is the Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Entergy. He oversees all aspects of physical, cyber, regulatory, and reliability risk, including executive protection, governance, strategy, compliance, and threat intelligence.
Peters served as the Global Lead Business Information Security Officer for GlaxoSmithKline, Vice President of Cybersecurity Solutions for ICF International, and an operations manager for Intel Corporation. He is also a former intelligence officer in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, with experience in the Fleet Marine Force, Joint Staff J-2/Defense Intelligence Agency, and Headquarters Marine Corps Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4I).
He holds a master's degree in IT management from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce and a bachelor's degree in sociology from Greenville College. Peters is a Certified Information Security Manager from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and a Certified Information Privacy Manager from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Additionally, Peters has completed the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Program in Cybersecurity: The Intersection of Policy and Technology and the FBI Domestic Security Executive Academy. He serves as the Vice Chair for the SERC Reliability Corporation Board of Directors and is a member of the CNBC Technology Executive Council.
