Yaniv Azani is a research fellow at Harvard University, where he focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. With over two decades of experience in operational technology and cyber defense, Yaniv has led cutting-edge initiatives across government, defense, and law enforcement. He previously served in senior leadership roles as the CTO and Deputy Head of the National Cyber Unit in Israel, and the head of the Operational Cyber Department within the Israel National Police Cyber Division, where he established and directed national cyber capabilities, international collaborations, and advanced R&D programs. Earlier in his career, he held key technological positions in the Israel Defense Forces and the Ministry of Defense. At Harvard, Yaniv combines academic research with practical expertise, exploring how AI is transforming the security landscape. Alongside his academic role, he is also engaged in building new ventures at the forefront of AI and cybersecurity innovation. Yaniv holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, as well as advanced degrees with honors in engineering, and law and society.
